Paul Madalinski will be showing a selection of his work dating from the mid 1970s to the present. Included will be paintings, drawings, video, prints and sculpture. Paul Madalinski is a Chicago-born artist who transplanted his urban roots to rural Brookline, Vermont in 2009.  A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (MFA, 1974), he is an NEA/Arts Midwest grant recipient and his work is owned by both public institutions and private collectors.  His paintings and drawings explore the transformation of ordinary places and objects to sometimes enigmatic visions that are no longer entirely familiar.  His work is inspired by the world outside his door, wherever that is, which is then transformed by his inner vision.  Paul primarily works with oil paints and with water-based media such as gouache on paper.  He also uses pastels, charcoal, graphite and sometimes printmaking techniques to achieve his vision. There will be a reception with the artist on Saturday, June 5th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM
