Want to learn about the invasive plant Japanese Knotweed? Come for an info session that will include a short walk along West Street to see the plant growing by the side of the road. There’s almost no way to eradicate this non-native invasive, but you can control it. Did you know you aren’t supposed to move the plant til it’s dried out? Come and learn best practices for control with Gloria Cristelli and also get information about joining a corps of people from the Southeastern Vermont Watershed Alliance who are volunteering to combat this nasty weed. Alex Sorensen will also be on hand to talk about ways to cook and preserve knotweed.
