We are very sorry to announce that the Castle Freeman reading and author talk scheduled for August 28th has been cancelled (well, postponed until a later date, we hope). The library is as disappointed as you are. Stay tuned for a future date when we can host Castle in the library.

Newfane resident Castle Freeman, Jr. is the award-winning author of the acclaimed novel “Go With Me”, adapted into the film “Blackway” (2015) starring Anthony Hopkins and Julia Stiles. For 30 years he was a contributor to The Old Farmer’s Almanac and is the author of four other novels, two short-story collections and a major history of Townshend.

In 2019, Castle won the Walter Cerf Medal for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts

Castle will read from some of his works and talk about writing.
