A dialog between realism and abstraction
Steve Lloyd ~ Vermont resident and Brattleboro artist ~ will show his paintings in the Crowell Art Gallery in Newfane from May 3rd to 31st. The Opening Reception will be on Saturday, May 7th from 11am to 1pm. “My paintings depict the way the world feels to me. In representational work I will add an element of geometry; in abstract work, the rigor of the geometry is balanced by color and the nature of the paint. A long career as an architect surely influences my work, but an equal force is my respect for the natural world.”
