Invasion of the Alien Bugs!

Back by popular demand!  Well, not the bugs but the program!

June 8th, Thursday  7pm to 8pm – for all ages

This FREE program is about the threat that the Asian Longhorned Beetle, Emerald Ash Borer and Hemlock Woolly Adelgid are to Vermont’s trees and economy.

Learn how to identify these three major pests (samples of dead bugs), how to identify signs of their presence, how to help prevent infestations caused by the movement of firewood, and what to do if you see one of the invaders.

Hand-outs to help in identification will be available for all participants to take home. Bug tattoos for everyone!

This program will be led by Carolyn & Gary Katz, with materials and information gleaned from a University of Vermont Extension Service seminar.
